MLC started playing together in the mid-seventies. We were sixteen year old kids in Stoughton High School. Bands like Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Santana and Bad Company ruled. We practiced every day. Soon we started playing house parties, Bar-Mitzvahs, CYO dances, high school dances…anywhere they'd let us. We used home made light shows, flash boxes and fog machines. We sang through loudspeakers from the high school football field. We soon had a following of friends and fans and for the next five or so years we played in and around the Boston area. |
|
| Eventually, that chapter came to an end as each one of us settled into our regular full time careers. We remained friends and we made sure we got together a few times each year to play. | |
| Over those years, some of us played in other bands. Steve hooked up with a couple of upcoming local bands and was playing places like the Hatch Shell and the Paradise Club in Boston. Carl was in a major Boston wedding band for three years doing gigs all over New England. KenB played in several bands and gigged extensively around Boston and the South Shore area. | |
| In 1998, during one of our jam sessions, somebody said something about playing for a neighborhood block party. We agreed and the rest is history. WE WERE BACK!!!! | |
In 2007, Mid-Life Crisis added Mark Hewitt on saxes, flute, keyboards and vocals to provide a new dimension to an already rockin’ band and providing the opportunity to perform material difficult or impossible to pull off in the five-piece group. Mark is a long-time veteran of Southern New England bands including Stony Lane and Johnny B and the Stingers and the Seattle-area band Lost & Found. In early 2010, Mid-Life Crisis welcomed Joe Ferrari as bassist, replacing long-time member Carl Leitao. Joe is a veteran musician of several touring bands from the Southeastern Massachusetts area. |
